This new wall poster has been compiled by Kate Tuohy-Main, the creator of the video series M-Power Nursing: The Manual Handling Of People and M-Power Nursing: Caring For Your Back

Nine different exercises are clearly illustrated. Taking only a few minutes each, when practiced regularly they are designed to improve body awareness, flexibility, strength, balance and movement confidence.

The Charts are 600 m.m. high x 430 m.m. wide, laminated and designed to be prominently displayed in work stations, changing rooms and staff restrooms - anywhere where staff are able to practice the Warm Ups.

Each exercise is designed to achieve a specific well-being objective:-

Exercise 1 Level Chin Pull Gently stretches the back of the neck.
Exercise 2 Shoulder Shrug & Stretch Assists in relieving neck and shoulder tension
Exercise 3 Shoulder Blade Roll Improves awareness of bracing upper body
Exercise 4 Shoulder Blade Stretch & Squeeze To stretch and extend the upper body
Exercise 5 Standing Stretch Counteracts the effects of flexion on the lower back
Exercise 6 Yoga Style Semi Squat For posture, balance; strength of thighs , buttocks: mobilized upper back and shoulders
Exercise 7 Dog Leg Salute Reinforces the importance of transferring weight from leg to leg to assess a load. Test for suitability of uniform
Exercise 8 Pivot Squat Prepares body for client pivot transfers
Exercise 9 Semi Squat Lift Reinforces movement patterns for accessing low loads.
